Due to the requirements of the Cultural Policies Department of the Abruzzo Region, the final evening was postponed to 27 September.
The first ase of the MARIO NASCIMBENE AWARD concluded in the evening with the selection of the five compositions that will pass by right to the final stage and the judgment of the Award Jury. The finalists of the eighth edition of the International Competition of Film Music are Michele Martocci (Tagliacozzo - AQ), Michele Bocchini (Senigallia - AN), Carlomoreno Volpini (Prato - PO), Federico Torri (Impruneta - FI) and Claudio Smussi (Brescia - BS).
The compositions submitted to the new edition of the prestigious Prize were, for the most part, of great artistic depth and maturity. The different points of view and musical techniques used for the two selected scenes acquired a different flavour depending on the style used each time. The quality of the proposed material made the judgement of the Selection Jury difficult, as it had to take into account various evaluation criteria to arrive at the choice of the five best compositions. Congratulations to the five finalists who now have what it takes to establish themselves in the soundtrack sector. Due to the organisational requirements of the Cultural Policies Department of the Abruzzo Region, the final evening of the MARIO NASCIMBENE AWARD will be held at the "Antonio Di Jorio" Theatre in Atessa on 27 September 2013.
